Create Generic Response

Generic responses can be created two ways, by specifying a solver result file containing the desired response or by specifying a session file containing desired response evaluations.

Create a generic response from any solver result file HyperMesh can read.
  1. From the Design Explorer ribbon, click next to Responses and select Generic Response.
  2. In the Result File tab of the Create Generic Response dialog, enter a name in the Response Name field.
  3. In the Result File field, click to browse for a result file.
The dialog fields automatically populate based on the result file selection.
  4. Review and edit additional response options.
  5. Optional: Select the Objective or Constraint check box to create the corresponding goal when the response is created.
  6. Optional: Click Plot to view a preview of the response before creation.
  7. Click Create Response.
