Mesh shadow (3D): about
Definition
The mesh shadowed is an entity which, once assigned to two close faces facing each other, defines the progress of the repartition of the nodes on these faces by taking into account the neighboring constraints of geometry and mesh.
Example: Shadowing on the faces opposite to each other of volumes 1 and 2:
Progression of the assignment of the nodes on the two volumes by taking into account the mesh of faces opposite to each other.
Aided mesh
Within the framework of the global adjustment via aided mesh:
- a shadowing AIDED_SHADOWFACE is created and assigned by default in Flux to all the close faces opposite to each other
- the value of this entity can only be modified via aided mesh
Domain of application
The shadow is applied to the close faces opposite to each other only in 3D.
Local adjustment
The process of local adjustment comprises the following two phases:
- Creation of a shadow instance
- Assigning the shadow to the close faces opposite to each other
