Spatial quantity: definition (structure)

Definition

A spatial quantity is defined by:

  • a name
  • a type
  • specific characteristics depending on type (formula or dependence)

Name

The name permitting the identification of the space-dependent quantity is given by the user during its creation.

An (optional) comment can be added to the name.

Types of spatial quantities

The types of proposed spatial quantities and the necessary characteristics for their description are presented in the table below.

Spatial quantity … Description
… defined by a formula Formula constructed by means of other spatial quantities (predefined and/or created by the user)
… tabulated Space-dependent formulas if there are no values at nodes
… multiphysics

Formula constructed by means of other spatial quantities (predefined and/or created by the user).

It is necessary for implementing the data exchanges via a multiphysics co-simulation.
