Description
This tool is mainly used for pipes. Given a CAD/ FEM pipes will automatically generate mesh based on the axial mesh size and the specified number of elements along circumference. Also, option to keep Tri or Quad mesh pattern on pipes. It also does the following,- Rescribing of pipes
- Fill the end openings and remove the internal surface of pipes
- Connect pipes automatically
Re-scribing
Re-scribing is done automatically to maintain the uniform mesh pattern on the pipes.
Element type
Tri3 and Quad4 mesh pattern is supported.
Note: End circles are filled with Tri3 elements irrespective of the chosen element
type.
Collapse tiny faces
Collpase tiny face option allows to defeature the tiny feature lines present in the pipes. This will improve the mesh quality.
Note: Pipes with additional features like T-Joints, connectors or clamps are not supported.
Try defeaturing them before calling pipe mesh.
Connect pipes
Connect pipes option is used to connect adjacent pipes. Overlapping pipes are trimmed and the pipe ends are connected by resolving the intersections. After connecting, the internal faces are thrown and poor quality elements at the connections are cleaned up automatically.
