Which types of Outer Slot parts can be created?

  • Outer Slot Parts: Both symmetrical and asymmetrical parts are supported.
  • Entire Slot: Users must sketch one complete slot, even for symmetrical parts.
  • Sketching Guidelines:
    • The part sector must be sketched in the first quadrant of the coordinate system.
    • It must align with the x-axis, with the origin as the motor center.
    • The sector is bounded by two concentric arcs and two radial segments.
      • The division of the radial segments in sub-segments must be identical at both sides.
      • The outer border must be formed by one arc, the inner border should be composed by several lines, and the succession of these lines can be differed from the circular form (eg: opened between tooth-feet).
    • Use of splines and ellipses is prohibited.
  • Continuity Requirement: The part sector must be continuous, with all lines connected.
