Create a Zig Zag Fold

  1. From the Airbag ribbon, click the ZigZag tool.

  2. On the guide bar, click .
    • Method: If you select method2 the upper and lower plates move. If you select method1 only the lower plates move.
    • Total No. of Plies: The total number of plies.
    • Lateral Distance: Specify the position of the plates perpendicular to the folding direction.
    • Width (Fixed Plate): The width of the plates.
    • Folds Directory: The location where the results of the run are written.
  3. On the guide bar, click Components.
  4. Select the airbag components.
  5. Set advanced selections as necessary by clicking on the guide bar.
  6. On the guide bar, click Side.
  7. Select a node for defining the side of the folding.
  8. On the guide bar, click Export to export the pre-simulation deck.
  9. At the end of the pre-simulation run, click the satellite icon to load the new positions from the resulting .h3d file.
