Flux Skew
Flux Skew is a module dedicated to the analysis of rotating electric machines with skewing, allowing a straightforward geometric and physical description in 2D and the consideration of continuous or step skewing effects.
Material Identification
The Material Identification tool is based on the Altair Compose environment and allows determining from measurements the parameters and coefficients required to create a material in Flux.

HyperMesh (and OptiStruct) and SimLab mesh import

Introduction

HyperMesh and SimLab are two software from Altair which are dedicated to the pre-processing. In both of them, user can find all the tools to achieve his geometry and mesh it.

In Flux, it is possible to import the mesh coming from those software, in order to go directly to the physical definition and solving.

In this chapter, the steps and advices to export the mesh from HyperMesh and SimLab and then to import it in Flux are described.

Concerning the mesh coming from OptiStruct which is a postprocessing tool encapsulated in HyperMesh, it is actually a HyperMesh mesh: only the mesh file extension changes.
