Shock Absorbers
Create a virtual shock absorber with finite stiffness and damping between two different parts or between a single part and ground. Virtual shock absorber is applied on spots.
Note: Shock absorbers with damping are only supported for complex eigen value analysis.
Running modes are automatically run as complex modes.
        - In the Project Tree, click the Connections workbench.
 -
                On the Connections workbench, select
Shock absorber.
             - For Type, select Shock absorber or Ground shock absorber.
 -
If Type is set to Shock absorber, do the
                    following.

- Select End1, and then select the spot.
 - Repeat for End2.

 -
If Type is set to Grounded shock absorber, do the
                    following.

- Select End1, and then select a spot.
 - Switch to Ground, and then enter the coordinates of the ground point.

 - Define Stiffness and Damping.
 -
                Click Apply.
The virtual connector will appear in the Connections branch. If selected, you will see vectors representing the connection in the modeling window.
