Review Part Connection Locations

Diagnose connection problems.

SimSolid can allow analysis with ill-defined connections when parts penetrate each other or there is an excessive gap between parts. Care must be taken to ensure that these defects are not too excessive. This function provides the following:
  • An easy way to sort connections by their distance to connected parts.
  • method to review connections in terms of their location and find ill-defined connections and connections with insufficient contact resolution level.
  • In the case of big gap/penetration tolerances, this dialog helps to find through-part connections which are physically incorrect and may result in numerical instability.

  1. On the Project Tree, click on the Connections workbench
  2. On the toolbar, select the (Check connections location) button.
    A dialog will open with a list of connection defects.
