- Materials
- Rigid Parts
  A rigid part can displace under the loading, but only as a rigid body, i.e. without deformation or strain.
- Spots
  A Spots is a feature that enable applying loads, constraints, or other boundary conditions (BC) to local regions on the surface, instead of applying BC to the whole faces of the model
- Create Coordinate System
  Define a local coordinate system to which boundary conditions may be later applied.

  Import coordinate system from an external comma separated values (CSV) file. Multiple coordinates can be imported at once.

Create Local Studies

Create local design studies linked to global studies.

On the Design Study workbench, select Create local study .
In the Create local study dialog, select parts from the Project Tree or modeling window.
Select the analysis to be copied to the local study.
Click OK.
A new local study is added to the Project Tree.

Notes

Structural linear and non-linear analyses are supported for linking in the local study.
Linked analyses in the local study use reaction forces from the global study.
Any changes to the material, part types, connections, boundary conditions, setup and so on made to the global study are reflected in the local study.
Inertia relief is automatically added to the linked analysis if the sub-parts picked for the local study are not constrained.
