Imprint Point/Line
Introduction
This option is used to imprint a line or node on the selected face. Imprint can be done in two ways:
Imprint Line
This option is used to imprint a line on the selected face. The face can be planar or non-planar. The lines can be defined by selecting nodes or by picking points on the Face, Edge or Vertex. Multiple nodes or points can be selected to define a polygon. It creates a topological edge between every two nodes/points in the order they selected. To create a closed polygon, turn on the “Close Loop” option. Otherwise the last 2 nodes/points will not be connected by a topological edge.
Closed LoopIf this option is checked, it creates an edge between the first and last node/point to form a closed loop. This toggle will be enabled only when three or more points are selected.
Clear Points
The selected points can be cleared by using this option.
Examples
- Point On Face
Select a face and choose three points on the face and click ok. The last two points are not being connected by the topological edge.
Select a face and choose three points on the selected face and enable the closed loop option. The closed loop is created.
- Point On Edge
Select a face and choose three points on the selected edge and click ok. The last two points are not being connected as topological edge.
Select a face and choose three points on the edge and enable the closed loop option.
- Point On Vertex
Select a face and choose points on vertex and click ok.
- Node
Select a face and choose three nodes and click ok. The last two points are not being connected as a topological edge.
Select a face and choose three nodes and enable the closed loop option. The closed loop is created.
Imprint Node
This option is used to imprint a node on the selected face. The face can be planar or non-planar. The nodes can be defined by selecting points on the face and edge.
Clear Points
The selected points can be cleared by using this option.
Examples
- Point On Face
Select a face and choose points on the selected face and click ok. The nodes will be created at the selected points.
- Point On Edge
Select a face and choose points on the selected edge and click ok. The nodes will be created at the selected points on the edge.
