Get Started with EDEM
The EDEM user interface comprises three icons for each simulation component - Creator, Simulator, and Analyst.

EDEM Creator is the pre-processor for creating an EDEM simulation model, including setting up equipment and defining the generation of bulk materials.
- Creator Tree-Project
  Creator Tree-Project allows you to define the title and description for the simulation.

  Creator Tree-Bulk Material allows you to add bulk material and bulk material particle shapes to a model and define their interactions.

Define Interactions Between Materials

You can define interactions between the materials during a range of operation and process conditions.

To define an interaction between two materials:

Select the first material from the list of Equipment Materials in the Creator Tree.
Click the icon in the Interactions section.
In the Select Material dialog box, click Select a Bulk Material.
Specify values for the Coefficient of Restitution, Coefficient of Static Friction, and Coefficient of Rolling Friction.
