OS-E: 0160 Nonlinear Static Analysis of Snap Fit Assembly Using Continuous Sliding
Demonstrates the effect of continuous sliding in Nonlinear Static (large displacement) Analysis.
Continuous sliding allows for the incorporation of continuous (large) relative sliding
between the main and secondary. Contact is updated for every iteration. Continuous sliding
contact is expected to produce more accurate results and, in some cases, better convergence
robustness, especially when very large sliding and/or distortion are present.
