Thermal Event

Use the Thermal Event tool to define a temperature or thermal loadcase to solver and understand squeak and rattle occurrences.

  1. From the SnRD ribbon, Setup group, click the triangle next to the Dynamic Event tool group and select Thermal Event.
    The Thermal Event tool is activated and opens.

  2. In the modeling window, select one or more nodes where the load should be applied.
  3. In the microdialog, enter a temperature value.
  4. From the guide bar, complete one of the following options:
    • Click to create the thermal event and remain in the tool.
    • Click to create the thermal event and exit the tool.
    • Click to exit the tool without creating the thermal event.
A thermal event loadcase is created at the selected node. All the relevant cards are automatically created and listed in the Model Browser.
A dialog opens to ensure thermal property definition in the model. Click OK to continue.
