Squeak Evaluation

Squeak evaluation is based on the contact plane relative displacement as per the E-Line method definition, in X and Y local Direction.

The Max Relative Peak to Peak amplitudes, also called MAX Principal Peak to Peak (MAX Principal P2P), are compared to the inverse of Impulse Rate [mm] (IR-1) values from the specific pair of materials along each E-Line.

The automatic assessment leads to the understanding of the squeak phenomena using the characterization shown in Figure 1.
