Voltage/current source: definition (structure)

Definition

A voltage source or current source component is defined by:

  • a name (and a comment)
  • a model
  • specific characteristics depending on the model
  • two terminals

Name

The name permitting the identification of the component is given by the user when it is created.

A comment (optional) can be added to the name.

The name and the comment are displayed by default in the graphic zone close to the symbol.

Source components: description

Characteristic quantities, necessary for the description of the source components: voltage source and current source, are presented in the table below.

Source Function
time dependent complex
voltage source U(t) = formula U(t) = U0ej(ωt + φ)

Rms value

Phase

current source I(t) = formula I(t) = I0ej(ωt + φ)

Rms value
