Merge faces / Merge lines

Before starting

It is necessary to open the context for healing of facet geometry as follows:

Pass to the healing mode:

  • in the Geometry menu click on Context healing of facet geometry
→ The healing mode for geometry is activated.
Note: Click on to go back.

Merge faces

To merge faces after having imported a file with NASTRAN, PATRAN, IDEAS, or MED format:

Activate the command:

  • in the Healing menu, point on Merge faces and click on Merge …
→ A dialog box Merge … is opened.

Useless for Merge all faces with Angle

Select faces to merge:

  • click on the icon and in the graphic zone click directly on the faces of interest keeping pressed the Ctrl key

Useless for Merge a list of faces

Fill in the text zone:

  • enter the value of angle

Confirm:

  • click on OK
→ The faces are merged.
→ A dialog box Merge … is automatically opened.

Exit the sequence:

  • click on Cancel

Merge lines

To merge lines:

Step Action
1

Activate the command:

  • in the Healing menu, click on Merge all lines with Angle
→ A dialog box Merge … is opened.

Fill in the text zone:

  • enter the value of angle

Confirm:

  • click on OK
→ The lines are merged.
→ A dialog box Merge … is automatically opened.

Exit the sequence:

  • click on Cancel
