Squirrel cage

The rotor of an induction machine with a squirrel cage is composed of a magnetic circuit with a squirrel cage included inside.

The squirrel cage is designed with bars that are short-circuited by end-rings on both sides - Connection Side (C.S.) and Opposite Connection Side (O.C.S.).
