When a trace has noise or EMI problem or it is very weak against ESD, designer may
not have any other routing option to resolve the problem. In such case, special
purpose circuits, such as pull-up/pull-down, filter circuits, ESD prevention
circuits and fan-out circuits, may be used. If those circuits are used in design,
this DFE rule checks whether they are used properly. The Connected Circuit rule
checks for the validity of circuit usage. Figure 1.
Item: Input item
name.
Net: Select a
target net group that needs a filter circuit.
Filter Circuit:
Select rectification filter circuit. Multi selection is allowed.
Circuit AND/OR:
If filter components are more than one, use this option.
OR: If
one of filter component is exist, it passes.
AND: If
all selected filter components are existing, it passes.
Start Comp:
Select a specific component group that included in filter circuit. The DFE
choose target nets which is connected to this component among net group
defined at stage Net.
Duplication
Check: If more than one same type circuits are connected to same net, it
fails.
Composite Net:
Upon selecting this menu, DFE use composited power net instead of single
power net. Double-click the item field, then Composite Power
Net dialog will be displayed. Figure 2.
Passive
Component: The DFE make composite net for which are connected through this
passive component.
Pin Group
Property: In the case of a passive component of 3pin or more, pin mapping
information is required for composite. Set the Property Name with pin
mapping information.
Exclude Net:
Nets which should not be merged into composite net.
