Eigenanalysis
Eigenanalysis can be used to predict stability and natural frequencies of vibration modes, and the motion patterns of vibrating systems.
General multibody systems are almost always nonlinear. Nonlinearities may arise from force elements with nonlinear constitutive relations, constraints, or kinematics. In general, nonlinear systems are difficult to analyze in regards to stability and vibration. Inspire Motion allows you to study the linearized versions of your models.
Your model can be linearized about an arbitrary configuration which can be defined using either a model configuration or a static equilibrium configuration:
Inspire Motion linearizes your model and calculates the eigenvalues and normal modes. The eigenvalues predict stability and natural frequencies of vibration modes, while the normal modes help you understand the motion patterns of vibrating systems.
