Find, Search, and Filter

The Model Browser contains several ways to find, search, and filter the entities displayed in the browser.

Direct Search

  1. Left click anywhere in the browser (to have focus in the browser).
  2. Start typing on the keyboard for the entity that you are looking for. The entry string in the keyboard could be part of the:
    • Label
    • Varname
    • ID
    • Definition
  3. Press the Enter (Carriage Return) key to continue the search for the entered string.

Search Bar/Filter

The search bar can be used to find and filter entities in the browser.

  1. Key in a search string directly in the browser search bar.
  2. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass to execute the search.
  3. Clear the search and return to the default browser view in the following ways:
    • Delete the search and press Enter.
    • Click X on the right side of the search string field.
    • With the cursor's focus on the search bar, press Esc.
    • Highlight the search string and press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard.

    Clearing the search bar displays the full browser tree.
