Search of geometric defects by type

Introduction

The checking by defect type is the operation of research and identification of the geometric defects performed on a type of defect.

Before starting

It is necessary to open the context for healing of CAD geometry as follows:

Step Action

Pass to the healing mode via the menu Geometry and click on Context healing of CAD geometry
→ The healing mode for geometry is activated.
Note: Click on to go back.

Search of blocking defects (1)

To search of the following blocking defects:

  • superimposed points
  • superimposed lines
  • intersection line-line
  • intersection line-face

follow the next instructions:

Step Action
1

Activate the command via the menu Healing > Search defects and click on:

  • Search intersections > Intersections line-line

  • Search intersections > Intersections line-face

  • Search superimposed > Superimposed points

  • Search superimposed > Superimposed lines
→ If the geometry presents defects of this type, the geometric defects are identified under the specific entities associated with them.

Search of blocking defects (2)

To search of the following blocking defects:

  • abnormal lines (of small dimension (Flux epsilon))
  • abnormal faces (of small dimension (Flux epsilon))

follow the next instructions:

Step Action

Activate the command via the menu Healing > Search defects and click on:

  • Search abnormal entities > Abnormal lines
  • Search abnormal entities > Abnormal faces
→ A dialog box Search … is opened
→ If the geometry presents defects of this type, the geometric defects are identified under the specific entities associated with them.

Search of non-blocking defects (1)

To search of the following non-blocking defects:

  • abnormal lines (of small dimension (user epsilon))
  • abnormal faces (of small dimension (user epsilon))

follow the next instructions:

Step Action

Activate the command via the menu Healing > Search defects and click on:

  • Search abnormal entities > Abnormal lines (user epsilon)
  • Search abnormal entities > Abnormal faces (user epsilon)
→ A dialog box Search … is opened.

Fill in the field:

  • enter the value of length / surface for the search of abnormal lines / faces

Validate the information:

  • click on OK
→ If the geometry presents defects of this type, the geometric defects are identified under the specific entities associated with them.

Search of non-blocking defects (2)

To search of the following non-blocking defects:

  • open wires
