2D CAD export starting from a cut of objects

Introduction

In the modeler context, it is possible to export in a 2D CAD file a cut of 3D object.

The user chooses a reference plane and objects from which he wishes to export the section.

The intersection between the reference plane and selected objects made a 2D projection of points, lines and faces. These entities are exported in a CAD file.

This export allows especially to switch from 3D model to 2D model.

The possible export formats are:

• CATIA V5
• STEP
• SAT
