Since version 2026, Flux 3D and Flux PEEC are no longer available.
Please use SimLab to create a new 3D project or to import an existing Flux 3D project.

/!\ Documentation updates are in progress – some mentions of 3D may still appear.
Cut of magnetic circuit: about (2)
Cut of magnetic circuit
Cuts of magnetic circuit can be "manually" created (by the user) or "automatically" created (by the software).
Manual cut and automatic cut
Manual cut and automatic cut
- A "manual" cut (created by the user) comprises a face or a set of existing faces that represents a cross-section in the magnetic circuit or in the electric loop as presented in the figure below.
- An "automatic" cut (created by means of an automatic creation command) comprises:
- either a face or an assembly of existing faces (as previously)
- either a face or an assembly of faces created by means of an algorithm named meshing inflation (see block below).
Meshing inflation algorithm
The meshing inflation algorithm* creates supplementary points, lines and faces which allow the creation of the cut.
Attention: The automatic cuts created by means of the algorithm named of
meshing inflation are associated with the meshing. The command of Delete mesh also
destroys these cuts
