Thermal applications: principles

Introduction

This chapter deals with thermal applications, Steady state Thermal and Transient Thermal, and answers the following three questions:

  • What is possible to model with Flux? (Flux capabilities, typical problem, mathematical models)
  • How is a Flux problem described? (description of material media, sources, boundary conditions…)
  • How are results analyzed with Flux? (processed quantities available, explanation of results…)
