Wrap
Use the Wrap tool to quickly wrap a PolyNURBS solid around an optimized shape. You can create multiple PolyNURBS cages, and bridge the face of one cage to another. You can also wrap a hole or negative space.
-
On the PolyNURBS ribbon, select the Wrap tool.
Tip: To find and open a tool, press Ctrl+F. For more information, see Find and Search for Tools. -
Click the existing shape to define the first section.
As you mouse over the shape, a preview of the first section is displayed. Red lines indicate the true section through the geometry, while the black lines indicate the actual face that will be created.
-
Click a second time to define the next section.
As you mouse over the shape, a preview of the next section is displayed. Moving the mouse along the section preview orients the cage face.
- Continue clicking along the existing shape to create additional sections.
- Click in the modeling window to complete the cage.
- Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
Tip:
- You can start or end a block from any existing cage face. You can also end a block on a planar face.
- Rotate an existing cage face using the graphic manipulators that appear when you mouse over an edge.
