Directional Conflict in Torsion Spring
Condition
There is a directional conflict between the two parts participating in the torsion spring.
Remedy
- If the torsion spring was defined between one feature and ground, delete the spring and create a new one by picking features on two different parts instead of picking the same feature twice.
- Enable the Restrain Centerline property for the spring in the Property Editor. When enabled, the pivot axis of the torsion spring is restrained to essentially create a cylindrical joint between the parts.
- Modify the model's connections or supports so the torsion spring's centerline axis does not point in different directions relative to ground during analysis.
