The Analysis Explorer enables you to visualize results for model files containing simulation data for results, load
cases and result types. You can customize legends for color and precision, show and hide contours and add callouts
to the model for effective analysis and visualization.
Use the Hotspot Finder tool to find critical regions of your model based on a plotted result, filter the entities
based on selection set, threshold values, minimum separation, and load cases.
Build specific search for a file type, combine multiple search values by selecting correct operators (=, Like, or
Is) and values (file name, file extension, metadata).

Modify and calculate hotspots for different result parameters. You can discuss the
hotspots with the shared members to analyze the model results.
Open a model file and expand the 3D viewer.
Click Show/Hide Browser .
The Browser window displays the model parts of a
3D model.
Click Hotspots .
The Hotspot pane and the Analysis Explorer window are
displayed.
In the Analysis Explorer select the required simulation
result, Run, Loadcase, and
Result Type to calculate hotspots,.
Click Calculate in the hotspots pane.
The Calculate Hotspots window displays the chosen
Result Details.
Enter a Name for the hotspot.
The Result Details displays, the active contour selected in the
Analysis Explorer.
Define Parameters to calculate hotspots for the selected result
details.
Result Value Filter is a predefined filter for calculating
hotspots on the selected contour.
Threshold is a contour value to calculate hotspots.
Hotspot Separation is the distance or tolerance between the
hotspots.
Number of Hotspots is the top number of hotspots to be
calculated at the specified position of a model.
Click Run to calculate hotspots for the selected results and the
specified parameters.
A list of model parts with the hotspot value is displayed in the browser
pane and on the model.
Use the arrow keys to view the hotspot values occurred on each
part.
To recalculate hotspots, click > Edit to modify Parameters and click
Run.
