NavOps Workspace
Overview of the NavOps workspace.
NavOps is an easy-to-use web application for extending compute-intensive HPC workloads to the cloud. It provides flexible resource provisioning, cloud automation and cost tracking across multiple cloud platforms.
Main Navigation
The main navigation sidebar links to the following sections:
- Clusters
- View the status of clusters. Add, register and deploy clusters. Add node configurations and automations. The five most frequently used clusters are listed. You can bookmark clusters to be displayed in the list.
- Automations
- Use automations to enable the automation engine, add automation rules and enable or disable automation rules.
- Accounting
- Use accounting to view reports for burn rate, core count, node count and total cost. You can configure the time range and specify the data for credentials, connector, environment, node class and cluster.
- Cost center
- Use the cost to review expenditure, set budget limits, set resource limits and manage cloud operations.
- Inventory
- Use inventory to view the details of all the nodes for all cloud providers, credentials, environments and node classes. You can view the cost, number of vcores and nodes and deploy or undeploy nodes.
- Clouds
- Use Cloud to view and manage cloud credentials, environments and node classes. Cloud
is divided into the following sub-menus:
- Crendentials
- Add and monitor all your cloud credentials. Cloud credentials provides a method to define who is deploying the resources. Cloud credentials provide the authentication to perform the required scaling actions in the cloud. One or more accounts can be added in one or more clouds. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are supported
- Environments
- Configure allocation periods, clusters and service units and manage allocation budgets, accounts, and transactions. A Cloud environment provides a method to define where the cloud resources should be deployed. Cloud Environment captures the cloud region and networking infrastructure within a cloud credential to support deployment of a Node Class.
- Node Classes
- Configure allocation periods, clusters and service units and manage allocation budgets, accounts, and transactions. Node Class provides a method to define what is deployed to the cloud. Node Class provides the infrastructure for the workload to run on. It is an instance type which defines benchmarked hardware. A Node Class exists in an Environment and consists of Instance Type, Image, SSH-Keys, cloud-init, and Tags.
