Deploy Cloud Nodes Manually
Deploy nodes manually (without the intervention of the workload manager) for testing purposes or when your site wants to keep nodes deployed for an indeterminate amount of time.
Important: Cloud nodes deployed manually remain up and running until
explicitly undeployed.
- Login to NavOps.

Open Cloud and select Node
Class.
The list of available Node Class is displayed. You can search and filter the list by Name, Cloud environment, Cloud credential and other criteria.

To manually deploy a Node Class, click deploy (
) in the Actions column.
- Select the Cost center you want to use for the deployment.
- Specify the number of nodes you want to deploy for the selected Node Class.
- Select the cluster you want to deploy the node in.
- If you choose a PBS, Grid Engine or Slurm cluster, select a node configuration.

Click Deploy.
A notification is displayed and a task is created to deploy the nodes.

Open Settings (
) and select Tasks to monitor the task.

Click Inventory to view the deployed nodes.
The list of deployed nodes is displayed.
- Filter the Nodes by Node class to view the list of nodes you deployed.
Deploy Nodes from Inventory
- Login to NavOps.
- Open Inventory.
- Click Deploy nodes.
- Specify the number of nodes you want to deploy.
- Select the node class for the deployment.
- Select the cluster you want to deploy the node in.
- If you choose a PBS, Grid Engine or Slurm cluster, select a node configuration.

Click Deploy.
A notification is displayed and a task is created to deploy the nodes.

Open Settings (
) and select Tasks to monitor the task.
Deploy Nodes from Cluster
- Login to NavOps.
- Click Clusters.
- Click the name of the cluster.
- Click Nodes.
- Click Deploy nodes.
- Specify the number of nodes you want to deploy.
- Select the node class for the deployment.
- Select the cluster you want to deploy the node in.
- If you choose a PBS, Grid Engine or Slurm cluster, select a node configuration.

Click Deploy.
A notification is displayed and a task is created to deploy the nodes.

) and select Tasks to monitor the task.
