Desktop Software Usage Analytics

Desktop Software Usage Analytics module (DSUA) helps to track the usage of software on Windows 11 desktop machines in the organization.

The DSUA module can obtain software inventory across all windows desktops in the organization and usage of this software. If such software entitlements are known, DSUA can assist with providing Compliance Reports. DSUA can be configured by choosing a limited set of software packages to be tracked.

DSUA addresses the following capabilities:
  • Track software usage on Windows desktops.
  • Compliance auditing for software usage.
  • Low maintenance overhead
  • Mass deployment capability for agents.
  • Scale up to track 1000s of desktops.
  • Provide a very low memory footprint on any individual desktop.
  • Provide software usage reports over a selected date range across all desktops.
  • Track idle applications on the desktops.
  • Obtain installed software inventory on desktops.
  • Employ smart filtering to minimize data streams.
  • Allow for targeted tracking of software.
  • Track idle state based on Keyboard and Mouse activity etc. (only for Windows GUI applications).
  • Never capture and record any keystrokes.
  • Provide notifications to IT in case software running on a Windows desktop is deemed Idle based on keyboard and mouse events and threshold settings.
  • Identify if software is obtaining a license from a license manager or running stand-alone (needs SAO to be installed and available).
