Construction Geometry
Construction geometry is used as a reference to line up or define other geometry.
You can convert any sketch curve into construction geometry by selecting Construction from the right-click context menu when in sketch mode. You can also create construction geometry by using the Project tool to project geometry onto a sketch plane.
Tip:
- To hide construction geometry, right-click, and then deselect Show construction geometry.
- Select Infinite from the context menu to extend the endpoints of the sketch to create an infinite line.
- Construction geometry is displayed as a dotted line, and is only visible when you are editing the sketch. It will not be visible once you exit the sketch and can't be modified with any of the geometry tools. For example, you can't trim or extrude a construction line.
