Geometry imports (standard formats)
Introduction
This section deals with the import of geometry starting from geometry files.
The import of a CAD geometry in a FE (finite elements) project is an operation consisting of turning the data from the CAD type (in a specified format) into data of the FE type.
Note: The import selection ,“advanced mode,” integrates a certain number of repairs
before the conversion of data (see § Import of geometry called "advanced mode" (format SAT, CATIA V4, CATIA V5,
INVENTOR, PRO ENGINEER, STEP(advanced mode) and IGES (advanced mode)).

The following formats enable geometry import:
