Rotate Objects Around an Axis

Rotate objects around a reference axis with the ability to use a variable.

  1. Select the Move tool, or press M or T.
  2. In the guide panel, select the Rotate tab.
  3. Next to Part, the Select button is active. Select one or more objects.
    Tip: Select Show Original Position to show the object's most recent position before it was last moved.
  4. Define the Direction:
    1. Next to Axis, the Select button is active. Select a line, axis, or cylinder.
      Note: When a cylinder is selected, objects move along the center line of the cylinder.
    2. Define the rotation angle:
      • Enter an Angle, drag the slider, or assign a variable.
      • Drag the manipulator.
  5. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
