PSR Covered Via

Check Vias are covered with PSR or solder mask.

PSR (Photo Solder Resistor) is used to protect circuit pattern from oxidation and bridge in soldering process.
  • Target Via Definition: Define the target Vias.
    • Padstack String Filter: Define the via using string filter.
      • Import(.txt): Apply Filter Type based on the characters entered in the .txt file.
        • Apply as a prefix when (|F|) ABC is entered in the .txt file.
        • Apply as a mid-string when ABC is entered in the .txt file.
        • Apply as a suffix when ABC(|P|) is entered in the .txt file.
      • Export(.txt): Export the characters registered in the String Item in .txt file format.
  • Checking
    • Detect Vias, un-covered with Solder Mask: For all Vias, check whether they are covered with solder mask. If they are not covered with solder mask, they are fails.
    • Detect Vias, covered with Solder Mask: For all Vias, check whether they are covered with solder resistor. If they are covered with solder mask, they are fails.
      • Exclude Options: For Vias having given hole size, exclude them in checking.
        • Via Hole Size Range: Set excluding Via hole’s size range using floating value input tool.
        • Vias in Pad Area: If the target component pad and via overlap, exclude them from the inspection.
          • Target Component: Select the target component group.
            • All: Select All component.
            • Component Group: Select the target component group from the list.
          • Via Measure Base: Select the Via measure base.
            • Pad Shape: Check based on Via Pad Edge.
            • Hole Shape: Check based on Via Hole Edge.
            • Via Location: Check based on Via Center.
