Sketching
Create and edit a 2D sketch curve. A sketch curve is any "wire" entity such as a line, rectangle, circle, or arc.

- Analysis
  Measure dimensions, analyze curvature, check for continuity and watertightness, analyze the draft, detect undercuts, and assign tags to entities.
  - Distance
    Measure the distance between two points.
  - Curve Length/Sublength
    Measure the length of an entire curve and a subcurve.
  - View a Curve Plot
    Display a curvature plot to see how the curvature varies along a curve.
  - Measure the Surface Curvature
    Measure the curvature of a surface.
  - Continuity Check
    Check for surface continuity at joined edges.
  - Area/Volume
    Calculate the area, volume, mass, and moments of inertia of one or more objects. If an object isn't a closed solid, open edges are displayed in red.
  - Tolerance Check
    Check if an object is a closed solid.
  - Draft Analysis
    Analyze the draft and detect undercuts when designing a product that is manufactured using injection molding.
  - Tags
    Assign or query tags (metadata), which can be associated with one or more entities in a model.
- Simulation Data
  Edit and visualize streamlines as static images or animations, animate simulation results in mesh models using a color map, and change the animation loop duration.
- Design Table
  Create design iterations on the fly and assign variables.
Dimensions
Dimension a line, edge, bounding box, angle, and radius/diameter in order to create objects which must fit predefined dimensions.
Drawing
Create detailed 2D drawings of the selected parts of a complex 3D model from multiple perspectives.
Rendering
Adjust the materials, environment, and properties of objects in the scene to create a photorealistic image.
Animation
In Inspire Studio you can animate an object or group and the camera. There are two methods of animation: key frame animation and path animation.

Create a draw die in Inspire Studio that you can export to Inspire Form to perform a stamping simulation.

Distance

Measure the distance between two points.

Note: This is an analysis tool; results are displayed only while the tool is open. To draw a dimension as a visual reference, use the Linear Dimension tool.

On the ribbon, click the Analysis tab.
Click the Distance icon.
Define the points:
1. Click to define the first point.
2. Click to define the second point.
Tip: To reposition a point, drag it.
The following information is displayed:
- Distance: The distance between the points in 3D space.
- Dx: The distance between the points along the global x-axis.
- Dy: The distance between the points along the global y-axis.
- Dz: The distance between the points along the global z-axis.
Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
