Continuity Check

Check for surface continuity at joined edges.

  1. On the ribbon, click the Analysis tab.
  2. Click the Continuity Check icon.

  3. Select one or more objects. Right-click to confirm.
  4. Click an edge. To select multiple edges, hold down Ctrl while clicking the edges.
  5. Define the number of points along the edge where continuity will be checked. The default value is 10.
    Option Description
    Check Type Choose one of the following options:
    • Tangency: Continuity is G1.
    • Tangency+Curvature: Continuity is G2.
    Tip: Edges where continuity is respected are displayed in green.
    Tangency Tol (degree) Define the angle between tangent planes at the examined points.
    Curvature Tol Define the difference in curvature at the examined points.
    Num Points

    Define the number of points along the edge where continuity will be checked. The default value is 10. If you increase the number of points, then the precision will be higher.

  6. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
