Since version 2026, Flux 3D and Flux PEEC are no longer available.

Please use SimLab to create a new 3D project or to import an existing Flux 3D project.

Please use SimLab to create a new PEEC project (not possible to import an existing Flux PEEC project).

/!\ Documentation updates are in progress – some mentions of 3D may still appear.

Coupled applications in Flux

SM coupled with TT (2D / 3D)

The characteristics of the Steady State AC Magnetic (SM) coupled with the Transient Thermal (TT) application are detailed in the following chapter: “Steady State AC Magnetic coupled with Transient Thermal application: principles”.

SE coupled with TT (2D)

The characteristics of the Steady state AC Electric (SE) coupled with the Transient Thermal (TT) application are not detailed in this paper. This coupling operates similarly to the Steady State AC Magnetic (SM) coupled with the Transient Thermal (TT) application.

Attention: the properties depending on temperature (permeability depending on temperature) must be defined by a user subroutine.

EC coupled with TT (2D)

The characteristics of the Electric Conduction (EC) coupled with the Transient Thermal (TT) application are not detailed in this paper.

This coupling is, a priori, more simple than the “SM coupled with TT application” and the “SE coupled with TT application”, as the solving of the problem with the Electric Conduction application is of a linear type.
