User Roles and Access Privileges

In Altair, company accounts are managed through the following distinct roles, each with specific permissions.

Owner: The owner has full control over the company account.
  • Complete access to manage account settings.
  • The only user authorized to transfer company ownership to another user.
  • Can update company account metadata (e.g., address) in the portal.
  • Altair uses the owner account for important company-related communications.
Administrator: Admins help manage the company's account users and license.
  • Add, modify, or remove company user accounts.
  • Access and manage software licenses assigned to the company.
User: Users can access and utilize assigned software but have limited permissions.
  • Log in to Altair One to download and use assigned software.
  • No access to account settings or user/license management.
