Usage         
vtk_date_format timestamp

Description   
OBSOLETE: use clock format instead. 
The argument 'timestamp' is the usual absolute time value. 
It represents then number of seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 on January 1, 1970, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Returns       
A representation of the timestamp in the form "Sat Jun 25 13:01:23 2011"

Usage         
vtk_date_pp date

Description   
OBSOLETE: use clock format instead. 
Pretty-print the date.
