Weight & Balance Engineering, also known as Mass Properties Engineering, is the technical discipline which refers
to the prediction, determination, management and tracking of the weight, Center of Gravity, and Moment of Inertia
for a new product.
The Programs > Management page allows you to create and manage programs in the database. A Program structure includes Versions, Variants, and Products
in the order of hierarchy.
WA provides a powerful and comprehensive mission simulation module which allows you to calculate the evolution of the weight
during the flight and to monitor how this curve changes over the product life cycle.
The Envelope Management page allows you to create a simulation based on a Concept or Snapshot in a Program. You must
create at least one Envelope and a list of the task items.
The Equipment Management page allows you to add one or more special items (with weight in addition or subtraction)
to a simulation and create or manage a specific equipment.
The Simulation page allows you to visualize the simulation of a specific Mission related to a specific Product once
you have created and defined a Mission.

The Mission Comparison page allows you to compare two simulations.
To compare simulations:
The Navigation panel displays all the Mission simulations
that are created in the system. When no simulations are made, the Mission Comparison
page is empty as shown in the following image.
The Mission Comparison page is populated with all the available simulations
in the navigation panel, as shown in the following image.
Click Mission > Mission Comparison.
The Mission Comparison page displays all the simulations in the
system.
Click the Reload Tree icon in the Navigation panel.
The simulations available in the system are reloaded.
Select the first simulation in the Navigation panel.
The system with the simulation data (inside the related Main Attributes tab) and with all Items and Points defined inside the simulation
in the related tabs is populated in the Simulation A area. Accordingly the Simulation B is populated with all the
available simulation comparable with the selected one in the Simulation A table.
Note: Two
simulations are comparable only if they are defined on the same
Envelope.
Select the Main Attributes tab.
The Simulations tab displays the information related to both the
selected simulations.
Select the Empty Weight Equipped
(EWE) tab.
Comparison data related to both the selected simulations is
displayed.
Select the Items tab.
Comparison data related to both the selected simulations is
displayed.
Select the Points tab.
Comparison data related to both the selected simulations is
displayed.
