Validate the design decisions throughout the design process including the selection
board layer stack-up, placing decoupling capacitors on the board, and routing power/ground
nets.
Power Integrity Analyzer
A tool designed to evaluate and ensure the stability and efficiency of power
distribution within electronic systems. In addition, when viewing each component in
the analyzer (see the image below), the pin numbers for each component are also
visible, aiding in detailed analysis and troubleshooting.
Note: In Power Integrity Analyzer, the number displayed on the component represents
the PIN name.
PCB PDN Analysis
A process used to evaluate the performance and integrity of the power delivery system
within a circuit, ensuring that sufficient power is supplied to all components while
minimizing noise and voltage fluctuations.
PCB IR-Drop Analysis
A process to evaluate voltage drops in a PCB’s power distribution network, ensuring
all components receive adequate power.
The different View Type are the following:
Voltage(V): Displays the actual voltage levels at
different points on the PCB, highlighting areas with significant voltage
drops.
Current Density(mA/mm^2): Shows the distribution of
electrical current across the PCB, indicating where high currents may cause
voltage drops due to resistance.
Heat Density(mW/mm^2): Represents the distribution of
heat generated by current flow, which can affect voltage drop and overall
thermal performance.
Voltage Drop(mV): Directly visualizes the voltage drop
across different parts of the PCB, highlighting regions where voltage levels
are lower than expected due to resistance.
