Simple Extend

Extends the assigned surface.

1. On the ribbon, click the Die Design tab.
2. In the Flange Die section, click the New icon.
   
   
3. Click the Simple Extend icon.
   
   
4. Select the Flange Part you would like to extend.
5. Choose a selection method, and then select the Extend Edges.

   If you select this method	Then do this
   Chain selection (default)	Click an edge and all connected edges are selected automatically.
   Tangent selection	Click an edge and the tangent edge is also selected automatically.
   Single selection	Click an edge.

   To reselect the part edges, in the guide bar, select Clear Selection , and then select different part edges.
6. Choose an extension method:
   • Distance- Adjust the extension length by entering a value in the guide bar.
   • To Trim Box-Use the white arrows to adjust the box size, orientation, and extension length.
     
     
7. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
