Layer Setting

To generate a PCB design file using ODB++ data, it is required to properly load the necessary files for the layers. When the required data is imported, you need to match the data to create the PCB design file.

Unit Setup

  1. UNIT Selection: Select a unit.
  2. Decimal Point: Enter the decimal point for the coordinates of part and net generation.

Specify JIG Data

  1. Net/ FPN/ ADR File: These files are exported from the Bare Board Tester (BBT) with the pin number, pin name, net name, and location.
  2. UNIT Selection: Select the unit used in the Net, FPN, and ADR files.
  3. JIG Size: Enter the JIG pin size to be applied.
  4. Only Silver Net: When activated, checks only 4W pins.
  5. Top Place Name of JIG: Specify the top placed JIG pin’s name in the ADR file.
  6. One Unit: Activate when the imported design is a single board.
  7. One Unit: Activate when the imported design is a single board.
  8. Apply Scale: Enter the contraction rate of the produced board.
  9. Using Array JIG: Specify the Array Name and PCB Name of the imported design. Refer to the name definition for each board as follows.

Component Layers

  1. ADD: Add the line.
  2. Layer Type: Specify the layer type for Top and Bottom.
  3. Layer Name: Specify the layer of imported Gerber of ODB++ data to match with the Layer Type.

Layer Stack-up

  1. Resistivity (Ohm/m): Enter the resistance value of the material.
  2. Reset: Initialize the Layer Stack-up settings.
  3. Specify the file that define Layer Stackup: Import the Excel format file of the layer stack up information.
  4. Add: Add a line.
  5. Delete: Delete a line.
  6. Physical Layers: Number of the total physical layers.
  7. Layer Name: Select the layer stacking order as the actual design physical layer.
  8. Thickness: Specify the thickness of the physical layer.
  9. Reduce Pattern Width: Enter the reduced width of the produced route. This input value is reflected in the nominal resistance calculation.
  10. Add Reduce Pattern Width: Specify the reduced pattern width per a target pattern width. This input value is reflected in the nominal resistance calculation.
  11. Resistivity: Enter the resistance value per a layer. This input value is reflected in the nominal resistance calculation.

Drill Layers

  1. Add: Add a line.
  2. Layer Name: Select the drill layer used in the original design data.
  3. Connect Top: Enter the start drill layer number.
  4. Connect Bottom: Enter the end drill layer number.

Board Layers

  1. Add: Add the line.
  2. Layer Type: Select the layer type.
  3. Layer Name: Select the layer name corresponding to the layer type.
  4. Target Layer: Select a layer to apply the board layer set in the Layer Type.
