Part

Define the constant heat source for the thermal power generated by the solid part.

  1. On the Fluids ribbon, select the Part tool.

Tip: To find and open a tool, press Ctrl+F. For more information, see Find and Search for Tools.
  2. Select one or more solid parts.
  3. In the microdialog, define the Heat source:
    • Per Unit Volume
    • Per Unit Mass
    • Total Power
  4. Based on the unit you selected, follow the relevant steps below.

Per Unit Volume

Specify the constant heat source by the thermal power per unit volume.

  1. Select one or more solid parts.
  2. In the microdialog, enter a value to define the constant heat source Per Unit Volume.
The selected parts will produce the specified amount of heat during the simulation.

Per Unit Mass

Specify the constant heat source by the thermal power per unit mass.

  1. Select one or more solid parts.
  2. In the microdialog, enter a value to define the constant heat source Per Unit Mass.
The selected parts will produce the specified amount of heat during the simulation.

Total Power

Specify the constant heat source by the total thermal power.

  1. Select one or more solid parts.
  2. In the microdialog, enter a value to define the constant heat source for Total Thermal Power.
The selected parts will produce the specified amount of heat during the simulation.
