Weld Evaluation Process
Set up the model for weld evaluation.
- Weld Lines
  Use the Mark Welds tool to detect, create, edit, and delete weld lines.
  - Weld Line Browser
    The weld line browser organizes the weld lines that have been detected in the model.
  - Detect Weld Lines
    Detect the welds in components which are currently visible and organize them in the weld line browser.
  - Add Weld Lines Manually
    You can add weld lines to the model manually. This gives you complete control on how the weld line is defined.
  - Weld Line Directions
    Learn weld line direction conventions and how to rotate welds.
  - Divide Weld Lines
    Each weld line in the model can be divided into two or more weld lines. There are two options that can be used to divide the weld lines: Divide and Divide Unconnected.
  - Select Weld Lines Graphically
    In addition to picking from a list, weld lines can also be selected graphically using the weld line browser.
  - Control the Display State of Weld Lines
    Show, hide, and isolate weld lines.
  - Delete Weld Lines
    Remove weld lines from the model.

  Use the Specifications tool to assign a weld specification.
- Define Weld Evaluation Point Properties
  Use the Points tool to define the properties of the weld lines considered in the evaluation.

  Use the Material tool to assign materials and other unwelded certification parameters to the model's components/parts/sets.
- Load Maps
  Use the Load Map tool to create multiple channels (load histories) which are then paired with subcases/loadsteps to create the fatigue events.
- Evaluate
  Use the Run Analysis tool to run HyperLife Weld Certification.
- Visualize Results
  Use the Evaluate tool explore the results of the run.

Select Weld Lines Graphically

In addition to picking from a list, weld lines can also be selected graphically using the weld line browser.

Click in the weld line browser.

Note: This feature is only available in the Mark Welds and Points tools.
Use the entity selector to pick weld line components from the modeling window.
Click .
The selected weld lines are highlighted in the browser.
If Components other than welds are selected, they will automatically be excluded.
