AMDC Release Notes 2024.2

The release notes provide details about the new features and enhancements in AMDC 2024.2

Material Data

  • New Materials: Over 5000 new materials added including steel, various polymers and additives.

  • Data for CAE:
    • Polymers with rheological data are now validated using Polymer Material Data Analytics (PMDA) tools for seamless Injection Molding simulation.
    • Thermal simulation support extended for 1800+ materials.

New Features for AMDC Public Database

Similar Material Search in Tile View:
  • A powerful tool to discover alternative materials based on mechanical, thermal, or electrical properties, is now available in Tile View in addition to Table View.
Enhancements in CAE Interfaces:
  • Over 1,800 materials with thermal simulation data can now be exported to OptiStruct - MAT4, SimLab - Thermal, and Abaqus - Expansion CAE cards.
  • CAE export for Nastran MAT1 and MATS1 is now available for more than 30,000 materials.
  • Structural simulation support has extended for an additional 200+ JAHM materials, now downloadable for Ansys Workbench - Plastic, Abaqus - Plastic, LS-Dyna - MAT24, and PamCrash - MAT103.
Integration with Applications:
  • Leverage material data from Altair Material Data Center™ within Altair® Inspire™ to quickly explore, search, compare, and download materials through AMDC’s seamless integration.
New Themes
  • AMDC users can now easily switch between Light, Dark, and Light Blue themes, similar to other Altair products.
Improvements in UI and User Experience
