Altair Material Data Center (AMDC) provides accurate multi-domain material properties to enable the creation of sustainable, efficient, and lightweight designs.
- Launch AMDC
  Altair Material Data Center is a web-based tool accessible through all leading browsers. Launch the application to access the Altair material data. You can customize and launch the application from Favorite Apps, on the Altair One Home page.
- AMDC Licenses
  AMDC provides license types such as Guest User, Viewer, Explorer, and ExplorerPlus. These are supported by Named User Licenses and Altair Units-based License models.
- Stick-Slip Material Database
  The Stick-Slip Database provides access to over 11,000 individual measurements covering a wide range of common materials available on the market.
- Integrated Desktop Applications
  Get instant access to an exhaustive database with thousands of simulation ready materials directly from within Altair desktop applications! This seamless integration automatically lists materials suitable for the application and lets users look up, search, compare and download CAE-ready material cards directly in the software.

AMDC Release Notes 2025.0

The release notes provide details about the new features and enhancements in AMDC 2025.0

Material Data

New Materials:
- More than 740 new materials from the Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization (MMPDS) Handbook, giving you access to statistically based design allowable properties for metallic materials.
- Also access, over 442 new and updated polymer grades from SABIC.
More data for CAE: With the new data update, more than 20,000 additional materials are simulation-ready. This includes 6,920 materials for linear elastic simulations, 12,800 materials for non-linear elasto-plastic simulations, 424 materials for polymer extrusion, and 214 materials for injection molding.

New Features for Altair Curated Material Database

New Landing Page: Stay up to date with the latest software and data updates while accessing materials more easily with our new, more informative and engaging landing page. The redesigned layout provides instant access to materials of interest, an overview of various simulation types supported in AMDC, and one-click access to simulation-ready materials.
Materials Intelligence: AMDC introduces Materials Intelligence, a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled tool that detects and fills gaps in material data. It draws from various sources, including generic materials and AI-predicted data, to complete missing information. Users can choose their preferred method for filling gaps, significantly enhancing material usability.
Improved Material Sorting: AMDC's enhanced sorting algorithm now evaluates material datasets for completeness and CAE readiness, listing materials accordingly.
PDF Download Enhancements: Materials compared in tabular view can now be downloaded as PDFs for easy reference.
