Supplementary Pattern
This DFE rule is to check that the total trace width meets the requirement if there is branch.
Power signal has a characteristic that flows current so it has enough pattern trace
width. In case of branch occur the sum of branched trace width should be same with
base width.
- Item: Enter item name.
- Net Group: Select a target net group.
- Start Comp: A test will be performed between the start component and end the component.
- End Comp: A test will be performed between the start component and the end component.
- Min Combined Width (Outer Layer): Assign outer layer trace width requirement. If the sum of branched trace width is narrower than this value, it reports as failed.
- Min Combined Width (Inner Layer): Assign inner layer trace width requirement. If the sum of branched trace width is narrower than this value, it reports as failed.
- Min width (Outer Layer): Assign outer layer trace minimum width. If the trace width is narrower than this value, it reports as failed.
- Min Width (Inner Layer): Assign inner layer trace minimum width. If the trace width is narrower than this value, it reports as failed.
- Distance to Combined Point: Specify check distance. When tool find point that trace width is narrower than standard width, the tool search if there exist any branch point from that point. If tool cannot find any branch within this distance it fails.
- Pin Escape: Enter a radius of circular region around pins to be excluded for the rule check.
