Altair Material Data Center
Altair Material Data Center (AMDC) enables designers, engineers, and scientists to browse, search, and compare materials.
Tutorials
Discover the features of AMDC with step by step tutorials and videos.
Upgrade to Premium Access
Premium Access to AMDC allows you to leverage advanced search using multiple search criteria, compare materials, and view curve data. You can also download CAE material data in the required units to your workstation.
Launch Altair Material Data Center
Launch the application to access the Altair material data. You can customize and launch the application from Favorite Apps, on the Altair One Home page.
Search Material
Search for a material using a string value.
Filter Materials
Browse and filter materials using the predefined categories as filters in the left navigation pane that most suit your requirements.
View Material Details
Visualize advanced and accurate material properties and curves. Also, export solver based CAE material data.
- Customize Table View
  Customize the materials data in table view. Add, remove material properties as table columns, reorder the columns and sort them.
- View Material Information
  View information such as material name, quality, type, provider, version, chemical composition of a material, material test information, and detailed material properties.
- Export Material Datasheet
  Export material datasheet as a PDF document.
- View Material Properties
  The material properties data such as Fatigue Properties, Mechanical Properties is displayed. The tested data for these properties is also displayed as supplied by the provider.
- View Plots
  Many materials have multi point data associated with them (For example, stress-strain data or PVT data for molding applications). Such data can be viewed as a plots in AMDC.
- Compare Materials
  Select one or more materials to compare the chosen materials data.
- Download Materials for CAE Applications
  Download simulation-ready files to your local workstation.
- Set Preferences
  AMDC currently supports English and German languages and Metric and U.S. Customary units as unit systems.
Advanced Search
Advanced Search allows you to build a search query by combining multiple search criteria. Use filters to find properties and define value ranges. You can also add filters such as availability of plots, certifications or regional availability to quickly find relevant materials.
