General

In the General tab, define general information and generate package.

1. Part Number (MPN): Show manufacturer’s part name (not editable).
2. Company Part Number: Select or edit company’s part number.
   1. From the drop-down menu, select Company Part Numbers to input a new company's part number.
3. Manufacturer: Define manufacturer’s name of the part.
4. Functional Type: Define the functional type of the part (select from the combo list).
5. Product Family: Define the product family which the part belongs.
6. Mount Type: Define the mount type of the part (select from the combo list).
7. Package Type: Define the package type of the part (select from the combo list).
   1. Package Type: Display the package types available.
   2. Wizard: Display whether the package type supports wizard.
8. Electrical Pin Count: Define the number of electrical pins of part.
9. Preference: Define the part availability.
   Qualified, Not qualified and Obsolete.
10. RoHS Compliance: Define RoHS compliance of electrical pins of part.
11. Cost: Define the cost of part.
12. Ref Designator Prefix: Define prefix of reference designator of part.
13. Part Description: Display and edit the part description.
14. Passive Component Data: Define passive value of passive part.
    This can also be defined through Properties > Passive Component Data.
15. Reference URL: Define reference URL, application notes, device model and BSDL information.
    This can also be defined through Properties > Reference URL.
16. Notes: Define notes about part.
    This can also be defined through Properties > Notes.
17. User-defined Part Classification Selection: Select user-defined part classification code(s) from list.
    1. Search function by keyword.
       • Category: Select category item for search keyword.
       • Sub-Category: Select sub-category item for search keyword.
       • Code: Specify code for search keyword.
       • Reset: Initialize search keyword setting.
